PROFESSIONAL SKIPPER TRAINING COURSE

This program is intended exclusively for those who want to work as a professional skipper in a charter industry. The program is designed based on the years of experience of our instructors who work as professional skippers for more than 20 years and includes all the knowledge that a professional skipper needs to do his job in the charter.

The complete course lasts for 2 weeks, during which each student will have the opportunity to learn how to operate cruiser and performance sailing boats, catamaran, and especially a small part of the practical part is dedicated to sailing on a racing sailing boat FARR 30 as an introduction to sailing sports, regattas.

From the first day, students learn about the complete organization on the boat, as well as everyday duties on-board, cleaning, cooking, etc are determined.The main aspect of the training will include the following skills; getting familiar with all parts of the boat, maneuvering the boat, docking and undocking, use of the anchor, handling the instruments, VHF, terestric navigation, reading nautical charts, learning about the sailing laws, meteorology, sails trimming- jib , main sail, spinnaker and gennaker, handling with ropes, making knots, basic of marine engine, safety on boat, international regulations for preventing collisions at sea, man overboard and all other issues related to check in and check out the boat in the charter and other.

The course is conceived in a way that consists of a theoretical and practical part.

The larger theoretical part parallels follows a practical part of the lesson, and additional parts of the theory relate to the history and geography of the Adriatic coast, nautical tourism in Croatia and the material that is required for the exam-skipper license that enables the future professional skippers to drive the boats for commercial purposes. Also a very important part of the course will be devoted in general to the service and relationship of skipper to the client, main obligations, responsibilities and what kind of knowledge is expected.

* The greatest emphasis is on; safety on board, practical training and is designed for participants to spend as much at the helm of the ship by practicing all the elements, but most docking at the marina in various conditions.

* The final exam consists of a theoretical and practical part.

* After successfully passing the exam, skippers receive what is most important and that is knowledge, our certificate, membership in our sailing club, the opportunity for employment in the charter, special discount for hire a boat in our charter fleet.

* The whole course was accompanied by digital cameras, go pro, dron so that the practical part of the lesson was even easier and that the students could take unforgettable moments with them.

ACCOMMODATION: During all 14 days the attendees will be situated on the boat - 20 overnight stays.
