SKIPPER ADVANCED

The course is intended for people who past our program of Complete skipper course, who already possess certain knowledge of sailing and for those who wish to become a member of our Yachting in Croatia racing team and to learn more about crewing and racing. And also especially for those who hire a boat in charter want to know how to handle with the gennaker, spinnaker without professional skipper on board.

This course is actually an upgrade of the previously acquired knowledge. It is about a program through which attendees will learn how and in which manner to use, trimming sails, spinnaker, spinnaker pool, gennaker. At the course you will have the unique opportunity to handle with a racing-kevlar set of sails, from preparing the sails for sailing depending on the strength of the wind, how to hosit and lower-douse the sails, how to reefing the sails, how to flaking (folding), packing and properly stowing them.

From the first day, the complete organization on the boat, as well as everyday duties on-board, cleaning, cooking, etc are determined.Through seven days of sailing, the aim is to sail as many nautical miles as possible and to acquire as much knowledge and experience at sea by repetition and practice.

The emphasis is on:

Trimming the sails
Spinnaker, gennaker handling
To sail faster
Shipshape

* The purpose of this program is to train attendants with the skills in order to become a better sail trimmers, so they can hire a boat in charter with gennaker with a full confidence.

DAILY SCHEDULE

• 09:00 a.m. Breakfast on board
• 10:00 a.m. Theoretical lecture
• 11:00 a.m. Practical classes at sea
• 01:00 p.m. Lunch break
• 02:00 p.m. Practical classes at sea
• 05:00 p.m. Arrival in marina
• 07:00 p.m. Dinner

BASE: Marina Mandalina-Šibenik, World Yachting charter main office

CHECK IN: Saturday from 4 p.m.
CHECK OUT: Friday till 16 p.m.

DURATION: 7 days

ACCOMMODATION: During all seven days the attendees will be situated on the boat - 6 overnight stays.

MEALS;

• Breakfast on board-team preparing breakfast
• Lunch on board - lunch package or team cooking - (simple food cooked on broad)
• Dinners are organized as follows - in the local taverns or on the boat-team cooking
